Easy Croissant with assorted fillings




Ingredients

4 cups flour
1 cup butter
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsps sugar
1 Egg
2 Tbsp milk powder
1½ tsp yeast
1½ cup warm water

Method

-In an electric mixer, combine flour with salt and sugar, on a low speed.
-Add eggs and butter, knead on a medium speed until well combined.
-Dissolve yeast in warm water, add it to the previous mixture, and continue kneading.
-Add milk, and continue kneading until consistent dough is obtained.
-Shape the dough into a ball and put it on a greased bowl, and let rise for an hour.
-On a slightly floured surface, roll out the dough and cut into triangles, fill as desired (thyme, cheese, chocolate, almond, spinach) and roll it.
-Transfer the croissant on a baking sheet, and let rise for another 45 minutes.
-Brush the croissant with egg wash.
-Bake in a 200 C oven for 12 minutes, or until golden in color.
